The AK-308 is a select-fire battle rifle produced by Kalashnikov Concern.
History[]
The rifle was first shown at ARMY 2018.[1]
It was designed for being sold to foreign countries, where the 7.62×51mm cartridge is still heavily used.
Design[]
The rifle is heavily based on the AK-12 rifle series, with some notable difference being the new cartridge and the different receiver. However, the first prototype was based on the AK-103.
Like in the outside, in the inside is used the same gas-operated, long-stroke piston, rotary bolt system, that the AK-12 uses.[2]
