The Battelle Pogojet is a less-than-lethal firearm developed by the Armor Development Group and the Battelle Memorial Institute.
Overview[]
Officially the Caseless Telescoping Less-lethal System, the Pogojet is unique in that the propellant burns inside the round, pushing on a spigot piston that propels it ahead. The operation works like a pogo stick hence the name. As soon as the spigot piston reaches its full extent, the exhaust gases are vented outwards, so the round propels at the same pace, or directed via holes in the base of the round (a la rocket nozzles) to provide as much extra propulsion as required.
