The Bojinov BIC M1944 was a pistol calibre carbine of Bulgarian origin. It was designed by Tsvetan Bozhinov (or Bojinov) during the Second World War.[1] Very little is known about this gun.
The Bojinov is stocked and long barrelled adaptation of the Bojinov pistol, and operates on a toggle action mechanism based on that of the Luger P08. The stock attached to the Bojinov is similar to the one used by the MG 30, and the barrel is similar to the Star SI-35. The gun was either chambered for 9x19mm or 7.65x21mm Parabellum.[1] Only prototypes of this design were made, and it was never adopted by the Bulgarian Army. An example exists today in the Sofia Military Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria.[1]
