The Buntline is a .45 caliber revolver brought to the public attention by Stuart N. Lake. It is best known by its unique barrel, which measures 12 inches.
History[]
According to Lake, this weapon was a single action revovler chambered for the .45 Long Colt ammunition. The Buntline Special was made popular by the television series, The life and Legend of Wyatt Earp. Its other unique features were that it also had a removable shoulder stock to give it the advantage of a carbine. Nowadays people can own one by buying one from the Uberti company.
