The CMMG Mk57 is a series of 5.7×28mm personal defense weapons developed by CMMG Inc.
Like the MkG series, they exist in two forms: Mk57 Banshee (SBRs and pistols), and Mk57 Resolute (long-barreled carbines). The weapon is compact and concealable, but it has very low mobility.
Design[]
The CMMG Mk57 has a lot of similarities which an AR15, uses a cam pin and cam pin path cut into the bolt carrier, the bolt carrier reciprocates within the upper receiver.[1]
The 2018 model came with a CMMG RML forend wearing M-LOK compatible slots. There's a small tab on the underside of the handguard that acts as a hand-stop to help keep the support hand from sliding too close to the muzzle.[2] The 2022 model features the newer CMMG EML handguard.
