The Cei-Rigotti submachine gun was a prototype submachine gun designed by Amerigo Cei-Rigotti in 1918.

History

This submachine gun was designed by Cei-Rigotti in late 1917; the relevant patents for the weapon were subsequently filed in early 1918. It may have been intended to be entered into the relevant submachine gun trials during that time period, though ultimately nothing came of the weapon.[1] Little documentation of the weapon is known to exist today.

Design Details

The weapon is described by its patent as a single-barreled adaptation of the Villar Perosa. The weapon's fire rate is stated to be 800 rpm.[1]
