The Close Quarter Battle Receiver (CQBR) is an American military upper receiver for the M4A1. Designed for CQC combat, it features a much shorter barrel.

MK18 MOD 0[]
The MK18 MOD 0 consists of an M4A1 carbine equipped with the Close Quarter Battle Receiver (CQBR) upper receiver.
MK18 MOD 1[]
The MK18 MOD 1 consists of an M4A1 Block II, which uses a Daniel Defense RIS II free-floating rail system, with a shorter rail and a SOCOM-style barrel.
MK18 URG-I[]
Similar to the MOD 1, but uses a URG-I M-LOK handguard made by Geissele Automatics and a standard government-style barrel.
Trivia[]
- Many companies, including Daniel Defense, name their shorter "Pistol" or SBRs AR-15s as MK18s, even though they have much longer or shorter barrels.
