The Dracula md. 98 (Pistol Md. 1998) Is a fully automatic machine pistol made in Romania and introduced in 1998. In 2003, the gun was adopted by the Brigada Antitero București (Bucharest Anti-terrorist Brigade) of the Romanian Intelligence Service.
The Design of the gun is similar to the Soviet-designed Stechkin APS, but lacks the shoulder stock attachment in place of a spare magazine that can function as a grip. This is similar to the Fully-Automatic CZ 75 variant.
The barrel features four polygonal rifling grooves. The pistol can be fitted with a sound suppressor and the manufacturer supplies 9x19mm Parabellum subsonic cartridges for use with the suppressor.
The weapon is equipped with a mechanical rear sight, with an adjustable drum sight for distances of 25, 50, 100 and 200 meters. Optionally, the pistol can be fitted with a target marker (laser micro collimator) or a high powered lamp (intense light spot collimator).
