The Febres recoilless assault rifle is an assault rifle concept patented by Vasco Altuves Febres. The weapon is unusual as it uses the gas pressure when firing to reduce recoil of the weapon in a way it is required to be shoulder mounted like a bazooka for this purpose. For this to work, the weapon uses specially made ammo cartridges for the gas to be channeled rearwards through a bolt with gas vents to an exhaust pipe/buttstock at the rear of the weapon. This should allow the weapon to be lightweight with the capability of select-fire using powerful ammo propelling charges.
