Gordon Bailey Ingram[1] was an American firearms designer known for his work on submachine guns.

History

Ingram was born in Los Angeles, California in 1924. His first foray into weapons would be designing the Lightning Model 5 submachine gun and would continue designing submachine guns thereafter. He and Mitchell WerBell III would found the Military Armament Corporation in the 1960s; the company would close down in 1974. Ingram would patent more designs until at least 1986[1] and died in 2004.
