The HGUP Model 66[1] was a caseless assault rifle designed and manufactured by HGUP around 1966 in prototype form only.

History[]

The Model 66 was designed around 1966 by HGUP. One physical prototype is known to have been produced but other details remain scant. The weapon has also been variously named the AC Electronics Model 68 in various publications;[2] the sole prototype is currently located in the ATF National Firearms Collection.[1]

Design Details[]

Few details can be gleaned from the weapon although it appears to use recoil operation. The weapon is hammer-fired and uses a detachable box magazine.[2]
