HS Produkt d.o.o. (stylized as HS-produkt), formerly known as IM-metal, is a Croatian firearms manufacturing company.
History[]
Founded as IM-metal (Industrija Metalnih Proizvoda, lit. "metal product industry") in 1991 by two engineers, Ivan Žabčić and Marko Vuković, the company changed their name to HS Produkt following the success of their HS 2000 pistols on the world market; their current production facilities are capable of producing 30,000 pistols a month, with 90% exported to the United States.
HS Produkt also designs firearms for the Croatian military, such as the VHS and VHS-2 assault rifles.

HS Produkt's most famous product is their HS 2000 pistol, which is marketed as the Springfield Armory XD in the United States. HS Produkt also produces the VHS and VHS-2 assault rifles, and the Kuna submachine gun.
As IM-metal, the company produced the Alka M-93 Kratka submachine gun.
