The KARD is a prototype pistol from KRISS Systems, which also made the Vector, boasting a fixed-barrel, and has a weight that tilts downward during recoil, which lessens the kickback.

The KARD was designed by KRISS around 2010, but the patent for its delayed blowback system was only filed in February 2016 after a six year delay.
Design details[]
The KARD uses a modified version of the Vector's vector-delayed blowback system, in which it has a fixed barrel as opposed to a tilting barrel as seen on most pistols; this also makes it more accurate and much easier for the user to install suppressors or muzzle attachments on it. The KARD lacks a moving slide, and instead has a T-shaped charging handle on the rear of the weapon. Because there isn't a moving slide, optics can be attached to the weapon more easily than with conventional slide-action pistols.
