The M+M M10X is a semi-automatic rifle that takes design inspiration from the AK, SIG 550 series, FAL, and AR pattern rifles.

History[]

The M10X was developed and based on the Sig 556R, a 550 series firearm chambered in 7.62x39mm that utilized AKM pattern magazines. Compared to the 550 the M10X was designed to be much more simple to manufacture and assemble using more modern tooling and techniques compared to its Sig counterpart.

The M10X was first shown at Shot Show 2015 as the M10x Elite and was made available for sale on the civilian market.

Variants[]

M10X Elite Generation 1:

The 1st model M10X originally release with a 14X1 LH thread pitch barrel and featuring a M4 style buffer tube stock.

M10X-Z Generation 2:

The 2nd generation of the M10X updated internal components as well as a redesigned handguard featuring additional MLOK compatible slots. The rear trunnion was redesigned to allow use of a modified Magpul Zhukov stock.

M10X-P Generation 2:

A short 12.5" barreled version of the M10X offered in a pistol configuration without a stock.

M10X + Generation 3:

The 3rd model M10X released in 2024. This model has many internal upgrades to enhance service parts life and increase reliability. The receiver was changed to a solid machined piece like the earlier Gen 1 firearms but improved over the casted receiver of the Gen 2. The barrel was also changed to a hammer forged chrome lined version. the handguard was redesigned to include additional lighting cuts that reduce weight and help to dissipate heat cause by sustained firing.

Overview[]

The M10X is a gas-operated, rotating bolt SIG and AK pattern semi-automatic rifle. It consists of a minimalist steel serialized receiver (similar to that of a FAL) completely internal to an outer aluminum extruded monolithic upper. The internal steel receiver is the only serialized part of the rifle. A takedown button is depressed on the rear of the lower receiver, and the two halves hinge open to expose the AK derived trigger pack, and SIG 550 BCG.

All controls are ambidextrous, and the charging handle can be easily swapped to either side without tools and without disassembly of the upper. The lower receiver is stamped stainless steel. The upper handguard is a monolithic aluminum extrusion with full length Picatinny rails for sights etc along the top, and MLOK slots on the sides and bottom. The gas block is adjustable with two normal settings, and three meant for custom suppressed use.

Original prototypes used to have picattiny rail based handguards, however production models use M-LOK.
