The Panchenkov machine gun (Пулемёт Панченков) was a prototype 6 barrel rotary machine gun of Russian origin.
Development[]
The weapon was designed in 1915 by PD Panchenkov who designed a rotary 6 barrel 'automatic pistol' although there was nothing pistol about the design as it was a machine gun. The project was delayed due to the technical commitee of the russian military overloaded with different letters from various inventors and the anarchy of 1917. However in 1919 it was considered but due to the economic circumstances it was unnecessary. It is not kown if any examples were built.

The Panchenkov machine gun is a 7.62x54mmR belt fed 6 barrel rotary machine gun. The design appears to be complicated, however it appears to use a bolt that rotates the barrels around.
