The RPL-20 (Russian: РПЛ-20; Ручной Пулемет с Лентой 2020^[1], Ruchnoy Pulemet s Lentoy; lit. "Light Machine Gun with Belt") is a light machine gun under development by Kalashnikov Concern.

History

The RPL-20 was first presented on ARMY 2020. The light machine gun was designed to compete with the RPK-16 and Tokar-2 for a new light machine gun to complement the PKM machine gun on the Russian Armed Forces.^[2]
