The Revelli was a recoil-operated rifle that utilized a cylindrical hollowed-out rotating bolt. The return spring extended into the bolt itself and in doing could apply greater pressure to the bolt whilst retaining a relatively short length. A curved guide in the bolt's housing allowed the bolt to rotate upon retraction, opening the breech and allowing the spent cartridge to eject. The internal magazine held 5 rounds and was clip-loaded from the top. |
