The DIREX DUG (Direx Universal Gun) is a prototype battle rifle developed by Rexim S.A. of Switzerland.[1] The weapon is very similar to the CETME and HK G3 which it was a rival at the time it came out and used the same roller-locking delayed blowback operation.[2] It was chambered in the 7.62x51mm NATO round (at the time designated as the .30 caliber T65 US)
