The S-5.56 Sayyad is an Iranian assault rifle that is produced by Defence Industries Organization.

The S-5.56 is essentially a copy of the Chinese Norinco Model 311, which is in turn a copy of the American M16. The S-5.56 is service with Iranian special forces.
