The T212 was a prototype 30mm rotary aircraft cannon developed by General Electric. The weapon was compact for its type and similar to the M61. Though the weapon was at one part of a proposed improvement package for the B-58 Hustler bomber, this program was axed and the removal of tail gun requirements for future bombers led to the cancellation of the T212 with only two prototypes built. It was later used as the basis for development of the GAU-8 Avenger.
