The T68, also known as the XT68, is an assault rifle designed and manufactured in Taiwan.
The T68 is a close copy of the Austrian AUG assault rifle, with external modifications. It is compatible with open sights or an optical scope, and has bayonet fittings. Certain internal parts of the weapon are interchangeable with the Taiwanese T65 service rifle, and can be equipped with a 40mm grenade launcher. The T68 was trialed with the Republic of China's armed forces, but rejected. A long-barreled model with a bipod was also produced, for use as a support weapon.
