The TKB-011 is a Soviet prototype bullpup assault rifle.
History[]
The TKB-011 series were designed by Nikolai M. Afanasyev initialy in 1963 as a conventional and later bullpup assault rifle prototype for military adoption, two more prototypes were made, the TKB-011M and the TKB-011 2M were made for testing as well, it should be noted that the externals were made of Balekite and the internals were made of steel, the TKB-011 and its variants were tested and rejected due to the design of the gun being too complex and possibly ergonomic issues and later were storaged, years later all three prototypes are now displayed as exibits at the Tula State Arms museum.
The first prototypes used delayed blowback operations, the first (conventional layout) using roller locking, the second (conventional layout) and third (bullpup layout) used toggle delayed blowback. The TKB-011 2M used a gas operation with tilting bolt.
