No, but it aren't less powerful or shoots worse rounds than a rifle either. The difference between a fullblown rifle and a carbine is the length of the barrel (and maybe the length of the stock), essentially reducing the maximum effective range. It doesn't decrease power or accuracy. --Jagtai 16:56, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
