The VBR CAR-2 is a prototype assault rifle designed and manufactured by VBR-Belgium.

The CAR-2 is a more compact commando variant of the CAR, with a reduced ammunition capacity of 75 rounds per magazine and traditional iron sights rather than an optical scope. It uses the same caseless ammunition and rotating breech/chamber as the original. It was designed for infantry usage, but despite this, it was never submitted to military trials.
