The Vorgrimmler Model 1, also known as the AME-1, is a prototype French assault rifle.
History[]
The Model 1 was designed by Ludwig Vorgrimmler in 1948, in a competition to develop small arms chambered for the .30 Carbine cartridge. Vorgrimmler's design competed against Theodor Löffler's design, but Löffler's design was preferred, causing all work on Vorgrimmler's design to be halted indefinitely; Vorgrimmler then dedicated all his work to improving Löffler's design, creating the CEAM Modèle 1950 after multiple revisions.
Design Details[]
The rifle is functionally identical to the StG 45(M).
