The Zbroyar Z-008 is a Ukrainian custom-built sniper rifle.
History[]
The rifle began production in 2007 and is manufactured by Zbroyar. The rifles are tailored to every client's specific needs. In 2014, Mayak developed the VPR-308 sniper rifle, which is based on the Z-008's action.
Design Details[]
The rifle uses the proprietary Z-008 action developed by Konstantin Konev. The weapon's bolt has six radial locking lugs arranged into three pairs at the front of the bolt which lock into the receiver. The Z-008 can be made in both single-shot and magazine-fed versions; magazine-fed versions use Accuracy International magazines, likely from L96 rifles. The Z-008's barrels are screwed into the receiver, but the receiver to barrel interface is carefully designed to relieve the threads from most of the stress, ensuring maximum accuracy. Tactical rifles use Bell & Carson stocks while Tactical Pro rifles use proprietary stock assembled with Magpul parts. The GEN III rifle resembles a bolt-action assault rifle due to the look of its receiver.
Ammunition[]
The Z-008 is chambered in many different calibers. Because the rifles are custom-made, people can request for their own calibers for the rifle.
